GST Updates
1- GST revenue jumps 12% in February to Rs 1.49 lakh crore; cess collection highest.
2- Widening its probe in the bogus invoicing case against insurance intermediaries and aggregators, the GST authorities issued summons to several of them, seeking extensive information.
3- Third legacy scheme okayed in Himachal to settle 50,000 VAT, GST cases.
4- GST on pencil sharpeners will be 12%. The GST rate on Rab (liquid jaggery) has been slashed from 18% to Nil if sold loosely. And, if pre-packaged and labeled, it will attract 5% GST wef 1-3-2022.
